After attending the High School for the Performing Arts in New York City, Cameron Van Hoy became a lifetime member of the Actors Studio under the mentorship of the legendary Martin Landau. He went on to write and produce a number of acclaimed independent films that premiered at major festivals such as Raindance and SXSW, and were acquired by leading distributors including Netflix and Universal.
This early work includes TREASURE OF THE BLACK JAGUAR, TOOKEN, and the cult-hit horror comedy TRAGEDY GIRLS, which received a global theatrical release and has since become a fan favorite. Van Hoy’s directorial debut, FLINCH, was a stylish crime thriller that earned rave reviews and built a following for its blend of noir aesthetics and emotional depth.
His upcoming film, THE PRINCE, is a gripping tale of power, privilege, and pleasure, written by Pulitzer Prize winner and Oscar nominee David Mamet.
